Danielle Rante’s current work explores relationships of patterned consciousness with the patterns of natural phenomenon and landscape. In a combination of manipulated paper, drawing, printing and painting, it can be hard to differentiate between shadows, holes and actual markings. Her works on paper have been featured in New American Paintings (Volume 89). She has exhibited work national and internationally, including the International Print Center New York (NY, NY), Hudson D. Walker Gallery (Provincetown, MA) and Shanxi University Art Gallery (China). Her mixed media images are also featured in The Drawing Center's online Artist Registry and Viewing Program. She has attended residencies at The Headlands Center for the Arts (Sausalito CA), Nes (Skagastrond, Iceland) Fine Arts Work Center (Provincetown MA) and Philadelphia Art Hotel (Philadelphia PA).
Danielle lives and has a studio in Columbus, OH at 400 Rich Street studios. She is currently an Assistant Professor of Printmaking and Drawing at Wright State University. She received her M.F.A. in printmaking from the University of Iowa in 2006 and has been living the dream ever since.
